On set for RUN FOR YOUR WIFE - the film adaptation of Ray's smash hit stage success.  Judi Dench heavily made up as a bag lady.

John Luton entered the film industry in distribution in Warner Bros. London office.  He moved to the production side and became an assistant cameraman, then assistant film editor.  Moved up to editor and later supervising editor in charge of post production at major London  production companies.  Edited over 1,000 commercials, including 26 New York/Venice/Cannes award winners,  plus feature films.  Later began directing commercials and corporate films for blue chip companies.  Wrote  many of the scripts.  

 

Created and scripted a top rated drama series, "TRICK OR CHEAT" ("Mellom Linjene") for Norwegian TV.  Wrote the original screenplay for the feature film DEAD MAN RUNNING, starring Tamer Hassan, Danny Dyer and Curtis '50 Cent' Jackson.  Co-directed (with Ray Cooney) the film version of his smash hit stage play RUN FOR YOUR WIFE. 

 

 

 

 


 

Has just completed a book, "PSYCHO  ANALYSED - HOW HITCHCOCK TRICKED THE WORLD".

 

He is a long standing awards voting member of BAFTA and a member of the Editing Chapter.
